Accessibility on the hub

Accessibility information is one of the reasons this hub exists. Here is exactly what we publish, where it comes from, and how to tell us when something is wrong.

What we publish

Every listing can carry declared accessibility features: step-free entrances, accessible washrooms and parking, accessible trails, seating, service animal policies and other practical details. You can filter the directory, the events calendar and search results by any of these.

Where it comes from

Operators declare their own features. Unless a listing says a feature has been confirmed by the hub, the information is as the operator provided it. We recommend confirming the detail that matters most to you before you travel, especially for seasonal businesses.

This website

The hub is built to work with keyboards and screen readers, uses text and background colours chosen for contrast, keeps its text at a readable size, and lays out every page for small screens first. We test as we build and we are working toward the WCAG 2.2 AA standard across the site. Where we have not got something right, we want to hear about it.

Tell us about a barrier

If a page blocks you, a listing is wrong about accessibility, or you need something described differently, send us a message. Tell us the page and what you were trying to do, and we will fix it where we can and ask the operator where we cannot.
