Terms
How the hub works with operators and visitors
Plain terms for using CentralOntario.ca, submitting a listing or event, and taking part in a partnership.
Using the hub
The hub is a discovery and planning resource. It does not take bookings, payments or deposits, and it does not confirm availability at any business. Details such as opening hours, seasons, fees and trail conditions change; confirm specifics with the operator or park before you travel.
Listings and events
Listings and events are published after review. By submitting one you confirm the information is accurate, that you are entitled to publish it, and that you hold the rights to any photograph you upload. We may edit for length, clarity or consistency, and we may decline or remove a listing that is inaccurate, misleading, duplicated or not a tourism business in the region.
Claims
A claim is confirmed with the business before access is granted. Once a claim is confirmed, the operator is responsible for keeping their listing accurate.
Partnerships and sponsorship
Commercial arrangements such as sponsored placements or booking affiliates are recorded in the hub and disclosed on the affected listings. Sponsored placement never changes what we say about a place, and it is always labelled.
Accuracy of published information
Destination write-ups and trip guides are maintained by the hub and checked against official sources where they exist. Accessibility features are declared by operators, and are labelled as confirmed only where we have confirmed them. Sample listings and sample events, where they appear, are placeholders and are marked as such.
