Thousands of granite islands, channels and sheltered inlets make up the archipelago east of Parry Sound. Most of it is Crown land and much is undeveloped, so the water is the way in: by boat tour out of Parry Sound, by kayak from the put-ins, or by the small ferries that serve the island communities.
