Craigleith Provincial Park
Flat shale shoreline on Georgian Bay, popular for kayak launches, shore walks and sunsets.
Craigleith is a small park on a shelf of shale that runs into the bay, with fossil-bearing rock underfoot. The camping is open and breezy rather than wooded, and the water stays shallow a long way out. Sunset over the bay is the reason many people stop here on the drive between Collingwood and Thornbury.
