Wasaga's beach faces north across Nottawasaga Bay, which keeps the water shallow and warm by Georgian Bay standards. Beach Areas 1 and 2 carry the most services; the eastern end is quieter. The Nottawasaga River mouth at the west end is a good spot for birdwatching.
