A Georgian Bay weekend from Parry Sound

Water activitiesFamily friendly

Two days built around the water: a cruise through the channels, an afternoon on the granite at Killbear, and the view from Tower Hill.

Parry Sound is the practical base for this side of Georgian Bay: it has the harbour, the boat operators and the road access to Killbear. Georgian Bay water is cold even in August, so bring layers and a windproof jacket for the boat.

  1. Day 1Take a boat out of the harbour to see the channels and islands, then climb Tower Hill for the view back over the town and the bay.
  2. Day 2Spend the day at Killbear: a shoreline trail in the morning, then the rock points and swimming in the afternoon.
