Georgian Bay’s islands lie west of Parry Sound. A local guided outing is a useful way to plan a route matched to your experience, equipment and the forecast. Sheltered channels can still become hazardous in wind; postpone water activities when conditions are unsuitable.
- Day 1Book a guided day paddle with a local outfitter. Confirm the meeting place, equipment, route and weather policy directly; return to the agreed launch with your group.
- Day 2Explore Parry Sound’s waterfront on foot, stop for a meal and check the Stockey Centre’s program. Keep the day ashore if weather changes.
