Simcoe County is at its easiest in winter when you pick one outdoor activity a day and keep the driving short. Book lift tickets, rentals or tubing sessions ahead, and check the snow report and trail conditions on the morning you travel.
- Day 1Book skiing, snowboarding or tubing at Horseshoe Resort, subject to the day’s operating conditions. Reserve rentals and lessons where needed.
- Day 2Head to Barrie for a waterfront walk on open, maintained paths and a visit to the MacLaren Art Centre. Check weather, path conditions and gallery hours before setting out.
